Back To School - Seek Knowledge
With a heart full of gratitude to the Almighty God Who has been our fortress, I welcome you all to another school year. Our theme for September is “Back to school - seek knowledge”. ‘Back to school, back to life, back to reality’. At MFH, September is specially dedicated to all the young ones in age and at heart. As you start this new school year, I have some nuggets for success for you.
In times like these
I joyfully welcome you to the eighth month of the year - August. All glory to God, Who has been generously kind to us. Our theme for August is “In times like these”. Apostle Paul warns that towards the last days, perilous (dangerous) times shall come (2 Tim 3:1). Today, it appears that evil is deeper and of greater intensity, and sad enough, it is being accepted and promoted by society in a daring way. What then should the attitude of a child of God be this season? Preparation!
Loyalty and Responsibility
It’s July! Happy new month MFH Famz. Welcome to the second half of the year. Our theme for July is “loyalty & responsibility”. Loyalty means enduring commitment to a person over a long period of time that persists in the face of obstacles. Loyalty is the trust and faithfulness that people pledge to—and expect from—each other in a relationship, such as between husband & wife, friends, brethren, nation and citizen etc. A loyal friend sticks by and proves reliable and faithful, even in adverse circumstances. Loyalty to a person doesn't come easy though - it comes with responsibility/duty.
Help From Above
I welcome you to the fifth month of this year. We bless our God for being faithful at all times and in all situations. The number five symbolizes God’s grace, goodness, mercy, and favour towards humans. Grace multiplied by itself is 'grace upon grace' (John 1:16). We will all experience it this month and beyond in Jesus name. Our theme is “Help From Above.” God’s help will be available unto you in Jesus name.
In Christ Alone
May the peace of God be yours now and forever. I welcome you to April - The beautiful month of Easter - the season that reminds us about the Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ, and His resurrection/victory over sin, sorrow and death - Amen. Our theme for April is “In Christ alone.” Acts 17:28 says, "For 'In Him we live and move and have our being.'
Raise the banner higher
“We will sing joyously over your victory, And in the name of our God we will set up our banners. May the Lord fulfill all your petitions.” - Psalm 20:5. Welcome to March, MFH Family! Our theme for this month is “Raise the banner higher” and this is a call to celebrate victory.
How to Love
The Word of God enjoins us to love one another. This sounds so good! But how can we do this? Some people seem to be irritating, and we often find it difficult to go along with some members of our own family. How then do we make love the main characteristic of our lives? What can we do to make the love of God to overpower and overcome our bitterness, resentments and irritations, and become the shining lights that direct our lives?
On Eagle’s wings
Happy New Year famz! We made it!! Blessed be God!!! Our theme for the year is “On Eagle’s wings”. As the Lord bears us all on eagle’s wings, we shall soar higher this year. Oh yes! It’s your time to soar.
Joy to the World
The last month of the year 2020 is finally here! Christmas in the air! New year approaching. Oh! welcome December! I congratulate you and the entire MFH family. I also join the angelic host of heaven to bring you “good tidings of great joy which shall be to all people” (Luke 2:10-11). Hallelujah!
God of all seasons
Gradually, year 2020 is rounding up! Therefore, with pomp and joy, I welcome you to the eleventh month of the year - November. Our theme for the month is “God of all seasons”.
Gratitude
Congratulations! You are alive and well to witness another Thanksgiving Month - October. It’s your season of celebration and rejoicing in God’s presence (Amen). Our theme for the month is of course “Gratitude”. What is gratitude, and how may I practice it - you ask? Please read on as I make an effort to decipher what gratitude entails.
