MORE LEVELS
“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”
(Luke 11:13)
“Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.”
(Matthew 5:6)
“Joshua, you have grown old, but there is still much land for you to take over.”
(Joshua 13:1)
It’s August! Welcome and happy new month!
Welcome to the eighth month of 2026. God has been faithful to us, individually and corporately—we moved locations this past month. Glory to God! I believe that we are set to reemerge and finish strong, following a successful halftime review. It is my prayer that 2026 ends on a high note for every one of us in Jesus’ name.
So what is the Holy Spirit saying concerning this month? In this year of Next Levels, the Holy Spirit is reminding us that there is more to be desired in Christ. He is charging us to go further, to not settle yet. In light of this, our prophetic focus for this month is MORE LEVELS.
In 2 Kings 13:14-19, we see King Joash of Israel meet up with Elisha in his final days. Elisha presents him with an opportunity to determine the extent of his victory over the Syrians. However, the king ends up shortchanging himself because he did not reach for more. The encounter between Jesus and the woman at the well in John 4 is also worthy of mention. In verse 10, we see Jesus say to her in essence, that if only she knew who was asking her for water, she would have asked for more than regular, natural water, and He would have given her living water. Oh, how often we shortchange ourselves when we don’t ask for more.
One thing we must not lose sight of is God’s Word to us this year. He called 2026 our year of Next Levels—plural. Why, then, do we just go one step higher and think that is all there is to it? God is awakening us to place more demand on Him, to reach out for more. There is more land to be conquered, more territory to be possessed, more levels to attain. There is more knowledge of God to grow into, and there are more realms of success to pursue whether in finances, career, education, family, business, or other areas of our lives. Never settle for the good when there is room for better, for more.
The children of Israel had begun settling in the land God gave to them (Joshua 11 & 12). However, we see God say to Joshua in Joshua 13:1 that there was still more land to be conquered. There is so much more to be attained. The challenge is that we must not lose our drive, our hunger for more. The widow’s oil in 2 Kings 4:1-6 kept flowing until it was said “there is no more jar left.” The moment we close off our hearts to the possibilities that could be, the moment we lose our hunger for more, the moment we get comfortable with past victories or present successes, the oil will stop flowing. God will not stop pouring until we say “no more”; He is very much ready to keep going. Like Caleb, do not let age or shortcomings stop you from going for more (Joshua 14:12). Rather, trust in the faithfulness of God to sustain you.
August’s prophetic focus is a call to come up higher, whether in education, skill set, capacity, or in ministry. It is a call to go deeper in our knowledge of God and of His word. Even in our attitudes— we do not need more [reasons] to be thankful; we need to be more thankful. Beloved, you can do more; you can have more; you can be more! It is my prayer that the commitment, the grace, the strength to follow through in our pursuit for more, the Lord releases it to us by His Spirit in Jesus name.
In our Sunday series this month, we would be looking at the following topics: From Glory to Glory; Heart Matters (The Heart That Can Handle More); Kingdom Mindset for Kingdom Growth; Mighty Arrows, and More Levels for God. Come along!
